Strength does not matter for blocking, as all players have the same strength anyway. The most important, NON-DEBATABLE RULE, however is this: HAVE A GOOD TIME WITH YOUR KIDS!Īll players on the pitch have the same stats:Īrmor: 9+ Strength (S) and Passing Ability (PA) are omitted! There are NO turnovers: Coaches can always activate all of their players (as long as they aren’t stunned and even if a player goes down on that team's turn or the ball was lost/not successfully passed/not successfully picked up etc.)Įach half-time ends either after 8 turns or after the first score, whatever occurs first (to speed up the game and avoid „hopeless“ situations like kickoffs on the final turn or so)Įach team gets 3 team re-rolls per half-timeĪdjust and tweak these rules to your liking… Players CANNOT be hurt by the crowd if pushed out of bounds (see „Side Line Rules“ below) Players CANNOT die, and CANNOT suffer a K.O. There are only 11 players TOTAL per team no substitutes or backupsĪLL players across BOTH teams have the same stats (see „Simplified Player Stats“ below) To make the game easier to pick up for kids, however, the rules are heavily simplified: What would you add or remove?īurpBowl follows the regular BloodBowl rules. Now I would like to ask you more experienced BloodBowl players, especially BB-playing moms and dads, to take a look and let me know what you think.
less "bloody", more "burpy" (Yeah I know: What's the fun then, eh?). So I thought I might put some thinking into simplifying the rules here and there a bit to make the game more approachable for kids and more kid-friendly, i.e. Not only for myself, I guess, but especially for my son. However, being new to the game myself, the rules seem a bit overwhelming. I would really like to play a game of BloodBowl together with my 6-year-old.
